We are looking for a Business Analyst/Junior Product Manager to work alongside our Product Department; supporting them to integrate business requirements into specifications for developers.

Role Overview:

  • Ability to translate requirements into detailed product design specifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Algomi’s Client Relationship management team and interact with clients as and when needed, to gather product feedback
  • Review product specifications and requirements; appraising new product / product improvement ideas
  • Produce comprehensive functional specification and mock-ups for developers; correctly explaining all possible feature behaviours and requirements
  • Produce User Guides as new / new versions of the product are released
  • Work with scrum masters to prioritise build items for each sprint
  • Work closely with other functions as required; for example with Support, Operations and Legal

Skills Required:

  • 1+ year experience as Business Analyst or Junior Product Manager
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to speak and write fluently in English
  • BA experience writing functional specifications, gathering requirements
  • Agile scrum experience preferably with knowledge of writing user stories in BDD format
  • Computer literate – able to use Microsoft suite of packages - Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Knowledge of mySql/ oracle database useful
  • Experience with tools such as balsamiq/inVision for product mock-ups useful
  • Excellent attention to detail and thorough and methodical approach to tasks
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to use own initiative to identify and manage work flows
  • Drive to learn and develop within the role
